New State Board Member

Evelyn Bender has been appointed to serve on the State League Board of Directors. She joined the League in 1948 and has been a member of LWV/ Honolulu since she moved to Hawaii in 1982. In Massachusetts, Bender served as a Local League President and as a State Board member as Corrections Specialist and Legislative Chairman for many years. She also edited the State House Reporter and The Massachusetts Voter. Bender presently is employed as a Researcher for the Hawaii House of Representatives.
