League Local News - Hawaii County The HILO unit will be having their Candidates Night at 7:30 p.m. on September 8 at Hawaii County Council Room for Governor and Lt. Governor races. The League is sponsoring this meeting in conjunction with Zonta, American Association of University Women, and University Extension/FCL. Councilwoman Merle Lai will do the introductions and Sue Irvine will be the moderator. The KONA unit will be having their Candidates Night for all candidates -- statewide and countywide - on Friday, August 29 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. The event will be held through the courtesy of the Kona Surf Hotel in the Kamehameha Room.
