Local league members and guests are welcome to come and observe at the plenary sessions. Guests and members can sign up for a workbook and coffee at a cost of $10.00, or choose the further option of joining delegates for meals and socializing. Saturday dinner is $25.00 including tax and tip; Sunday continental breakfast is $5.00. See the registration form. Make your check payable to the League of Women Voters of Hawaii and mail to the office: 49 S. Hotel St., rm. 314, Honolulu, HI 96813. Speaker for the Saturday dinner will be Dr. John Lewin, Director of the State of Hawaii Department of Health. Dr. Lewin will present his thoughts on national health care proposals and share his innovative ideas on a cooperative system to address this most pressing issue. A panel of six will discuss health care during the Sunday session - around 11 A.M. Businesses, the medical community, and health care workers will look at the health care system from their perspective. Earle Fedje will be the moderator. Members will benefit by attending the Dukakis lectures (noted elsewhere in this issue) particularly the April 17th session to be held in the State Capitol Auditorium. A wind-up to the Wednesday night series, the title is "Looking Ahead: A Proposed Plan for National Action." Lodging is still needed on Oahu for Neighbor Isle delegates to Convention.
