Legislative Help Wanted! If you read the article above on LWV/Hawaii's Legislative Program, you know that we are already planning for next year. With your help we intend to be visible and vocal, and we intend to have the League and the League's agenda right up front on January 20 when the session opens. The Legislative session in Hawaii is short - just two months - but packed with excitement. For those two months the Legislature is where the action is, and we want as many League people as possible to be a part of this action. When you volunteer to monitor committee hearings, evaluate bills, talk with legislators and legislative staff, or help draft testimony, you help the community and you help the League. And that's not all. All the people in charge of our program, from water to reappportionment have long and intimate experience with their areas and the legislative process. Volunteer to work with them and we guarantee you'll come away with great information about Hawaii and Hawaii's politics. The following action chairs are waiting to hear from you...
