State Board TapeLWV/Hawaii State Board thanks Stephanie Witt of Video Visions for videotaping a portion of the State Board meeting on October 25. The taping was done as a follow-up on the suggestion of Kauai President Althea McCleery at State Council. The VHS tape will be made available to the local Leagues. After each Board member had introduced herself, the Board held a lively and interesting discussion. The discussion is an excellent example (though totally unrehearsed) of the kind of deliberation necessary before a League Board decides to approve a project or take action. The tape also illustrates the League concept of "Total Board Responsibility," meaning that all Board members, regardless of their individual office or portfolio, bear responsibility for all decisions of the Board.
