League Local News - KauaiFrom Althea McCleery, President of the Kauai County League: "The Kauai league "hit" the front page of The Garden Island with a story on November 22, 1985 reporting our November 21 meeting on local program, "Kauai's Special Election Experience." That story, "Nukoli'i: Voting Volcano Rumbles," generated letters to the editor in subsequent issues, including one headed "Comments on LWV Discussion of Nukoki'i Balloting" in the December 17, 1985 issue of The Garden Island.
