Role of the United States in Souteast Asia to Be ConsideredMr. Melvin Conant will be the speaker at the June 18th LWV meeting. Mr. Conant is Associate Secretary of the Institute of Pacific Relations. He received his M.A. degree from Harvard in Advanced Far Eastern Studies. In 1951 Mr. Conant made a trip through Southeast Asia; countries visited included the Philippines, Hong Kong, Siam, Burma, Malaya, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Israel and Ceylon. As we approach the problems involved in the study of the National Agenda items we are indeed fortunate to have such a well-qualified speaker discuss this important area with us.
