Testimony on County Code of Ethics The LWVHC provided testimony in favor of the proposed amendments to the Code of Ethics at the County Council's Finance Committee, and we gratefully acknowledge support from the State League's JoAnn Maruoka in drafting the testimony. Two parties testified in opposition at the April 6th meeting. The Finance Committee deferred action pending the receipt of proposed amendments from the Board of Ethics itself. The LWVHC plans to follow Finance Committee discussion and action as well as County Council review and action, with Marianna Scheffer planning to attend the meetings and testify on behalf of the LWVHC.
