What Does it Really Take to Be Elected?

Find out from the pros at the special LWV general meeting on Thursday evening, December 6, at the Ala Moana Liberty House Community Affairs Room (third floor - across the hall from the restaurant). Take your husband to Ala Moana for some Christmas shopping, and finish up with coffee and cookies with League from 7 to 7:30. The program, a panel discussion with lots of audience participation, Starts at 7:30.

Neil Abercrombie—unorthodox candidate in the primary election of 1970 running for U.S. Senate against Cec Heftel and Tony Hodges.

Doug Boswell—Capitol reporter for the Advertiser

Lisa Naito—candidate in the 1972 primary election for the 11th district State House seat, narrowly won by Hiroshi Kato.

Mary George—City Councilwoman from Windward Oahu

Jack Orr--political consultant with George Young Associates

The admission charge is 25¢
