International Relations and TradeItem...every Sunday for eight weeks there will be a Video Show on Japanese Investments in Hawaii; Good or Bad? 5:00 PM on KIKU-TV, Channel 13. Business and labor leaders, politicians and other community figures will endeavor to dig into all controversial questions surrounding $250 million or so investments in Hawaii by Japanese firms. Moderator of the series is George S. Kanahele. Item...the Committee on IR&T gave a Trade Talk to the AAUW's group on global affairs. The program included a "trip to Washington, D.C. to a conference" and an up-date on the new Trade Reform Act of 1973. Item...GREAT DECISIONS--1974... 1-is an educational program designed to give Americans an opportunity to become better informed; to learn more about what U.S. foreign policy is in today's turbulent world. 2-is one way citizens of different ages, interests, and political persuasions can discuss foreign policy issues and become involved in the democratic process. 3-is a nonpartisan program which gives citizens a chance to form their own opinions and make their views known to the country's policy-makers.
