"The League of Women Voters Presents"
Choice

The issue of abortion is on the agenda for November's "LWV Presents." Three spokespersons for the ProChoice movement are participating in the panel discussion; they are State Senator Mary George; Leonoa (Lee) Tamoria, a member of the YWCA Board of Directors; and the Reverend Richard Walenta, Pastor of the Windward United Church of Christ. Karen Ahn is the panel moderator.

Discussion will focus on the ProChoice movement itself, its organization and momentum in the state of Hawaii. The three panelists represent various schools of mainstream thought about Pro-Choice, and they discuss the spectrum of viewpoints it is possible to have about the subject of a woman's right to reproductive choice, as well as the direction and activities of the movement.

In clarification of the role of Olelo regarding the "LWV Presents" discussed in the October issue of the Voter, the operation and management of activities relating to "The LWV Presents" will be taken over by Olelo, but League will still produce the show.

The "LWV Presents" airs every Monday evening at 7:00 on Oceanic Channel 20.
