Advocacy Agenda

In the Post-Board Summary of its December meeting, National League reports the development of a unified Advocacy Agenda for 1984 that "broadens the traditional Action Agenda to encompass education, legislation, and litigation strategies."

The priority issues on the Action Agenda are:

  1. DC Voting Rights Amendment

  2. Voting Rights Enforcement

  3. Arms Control

  4. Environmental Protection

  5. Equal Rights for Women

Issues for Moderate Emphasis are:

Public Policy on Reproductive Choices, Early Projections of Election Results, Trade, United Nations, Hazardous Waste, Energy Conservation, Fair Housing, Cuts in Social Programs, and Citizen Access.
