Call for Help for Victim-Witness Program

Mei Wine in the Prosecutor's office's Victim-Witness program called to ask if we could publicize their request for volunteers to assist in this program.

Volunteers would be assigned to one of three activities:

  1. Court accompaniment --- keeping victims and witnesses company as they

await their turn at the witness stand

  2. Clerical help

  3. Reaching out to victims via telephone

There would be an interview to determine the best placement for you and some training. They ask for a minimum of eight hours a week and a one-year commitment. If you are interested, call Mei Wine and make an appointment for an interview. Telephone: 523-4158
