On Juvenile Justice League has been invited to participate in THE GOVERNOR'S CONFERENCE ON JUVENILE JUSTICE on July 30 - 31. Two major topics will be discussed by the approximately 65 participants: Detention of status offenders prior to adjudication and truancy, violence and vandalism in Hawaii's public schools. The Conference will make recommendations to the Governor for legislation and/or administrative implementation. LWV will be represented by MARJORIE KALILIKANE and NAN LUTER.
