Taxation without Representation (cont.) In the January issue of the Aloha Voter LWV members learned of the proposed two-day campaign to be held in April to secure signatures on petitions asking for Congressional representation for D.C. residents as part of the League's "Year of the Voter." In order that all local Leaguers may be as well informed as possible on the matter the Board authorized the distribution of the enclosed Facts & Issues "The Nation's Capital 'A Nice Place to Visit --But" to all members. This publication provides valuable background information on the history and somewhat checkered career of the District and makes valid comparisons between the District and other states.
