Consensus on Water Standards As a result of the November round of unit meetings on water resources, the Honolulu Board of Directors of LWV of Honolulu approved the following consensus : There is a recognition by all units of the League of Women Voters of Honolulu that the best present and future uses of the coastal and fresh waters of Oahu are for recreational purposes and esthetic enjoyment as well as certain water areas for oceanographic research. This statement of consensus makes possible a League position statement in support of the Water Quality Standards and Classifications developed for the island of Oahu by the Water Hearings Master, Mr. Robert Dodge. The final public hearing is 3:30 P.M. Friday, May 19 in the Department of public Health Building. All interested Leaguers and citizens are urged to attend, Louise Marr
