Congressional InterviewsDuring the month of December the National Study Committee met with Representatives Gill and Matsunaga and Senator Fong to acquaint them with the purpose and program of the LWV and to get to know their views on items of interest to the League. The two national agenda items, the U.N. and Foreign Economic Policy, were discussed as well as the possibility of repeal of the Connelly Amendment and the probability of Washington, D.C. home rule. Senator Inouye was out of the city so much it was impossible to arrange an interview with him. Efforts will be made to see him later in the year.
