Mary Anne Raywid Coming in JanuaryThe LWV/Hawaii Education Committee is happy to announce that through the efforts of the League and the UH College of Education, Dr. Mary Anne Raywid, from Hofstra University, will be spending spring semester, January through May 1989, in Hawai'i. Dr. Raywid was the keynote speaker at the Hawai'i League's education conference in November, 1986. As an expert consultant on education reform, she will divide her time between the University and the community. The timing of Dr. Raywid's visit is particularly fortunate. The recent release of the Business Roundtable-sponsored Berman report on education has focused attention on education reform. Dr. Raywid's extensive work with educational systems in many states will make her a valuable resource.
