News from the Kauai League indicate that members on the Garden Isle have been busy at work.
- On Friday, August 24, President Elly Dalton testified at the Energy Town Meeting, using excerpts from the National energy position and the most recent "Report from the Hill."
- Augie Heldt represented the Kauai League on the Special Advisory Committee which studied the county Agriculture Subdivision bill.
- Winona Sears, Kauai League's representative on the Kauai Energy Self-Sufficiency Committee and Chairperson of its subcommittee on Transportation, attended a statewide meeting on transportation in Honolulu on September 11. Winona reports that there was extensive discussion on a light rail mass transit system for Honolulu.
