CZM Grant The National LWV Education Fund is administering a Federal pass-through grant from the Office of Coastal Zone Management to the coastal state Leagues to develop pilot projects to increase public awareness in coastal zone management. On June 13-15 Pat Shutt, Muriel Roberts, and Dorothy Marsh attended a workshop in Washington on the grant. Each state League will receive a $1000 grant which Hawaii plans to use for a statewide poster contest in the schools. It is hoped that, through the children public awareness of CZM will be increase throughout the community. The committee greatly appreciated the cooperation and help they are receiving from DPED, DOE, and people from the Marine Advisory Program and Marine Studies Curriculum Development. It really helps our $1000 stretch to do a big job. We need help from Leaguers, too, and if you would be willing to assist with publicity, prizes, or planning - or just with ideas - please call Dorothy Marsh, 293-9544 or Muriel Roberts, 988-4400.
