Hawaii's Future

The State Department of Planning and Economic Development (DPED) has just completed a survey of what residents think Hawaii's future should be. There will also be public information workshops and formal public hearings to enable the general public to have maximum input into the Hawaii State Plan, a long range general plan for the state mandated by the 1975 legislative session. Preliminary goals will be submitted to the 1977 Legislature with enactment of the plan foreseen in 1978. Watch your newspapers for announcements of public meetings.
