Speakers' Bureau The Speakers' Bureau has really taken off since the first letters of announcement went out to more than 200 community groups in September. So far, we have filled more than a dozen dates: some involve speeches, some participating in a panel, some as panel moderator. Melvia Kawashima has spoken to two Kiwanis groups; Carol Whitesell addressed a community association; Pat Shutt explained the housing situation to a senior citizens' group, Carol Dodd outlined lobbying to a college class; Marilyn Bornhorst moderated a forum discussion. Please direct requests you may receive to Rhoda Miller (261-3177). We are working up A-V presentations for our speakers: any ideas or contributions gladly received!
