League Tidbits Field Service - Dorothy Bremner will participate on the Hawaii Cities Action Workshop Panel, Oct 6. Also speaking - Councilman Bob Yamada; Legal Aid attorney Steve Christianson; Mayor Shunichi Kimura. Carol Whitesell will be busy. Update of Land Use Law publication will include: Amendment of law since 1971 - mainly LUC power to impose conditions on urban zoning (regulations not yet adopted), among several updating items. What kind of format it will be is undecided. National Land Use - what effect will it have in Hawaii - meaning interviews of agencies and related personnel was also a direction Board gave approval and encouragement to Carol!! Carol Whitesell has been serving on the Advisory Group for Water Resource Plan; Pat Shutt - Housing Chairman will be on Panel for Peoples' Fund Housing Presentation - Sept. 27, Unitarian Church; Melvia Kawashirna spoke on KORL Radio on Lobbying Workshop to be held on Nov 1 and on the Temporary Commission on Environmental Planning's Presentations being held around the communities now. Also gave a brief "Know Your State" to Aiea Girl Scouts Troop, August 20th.
