Aloha Kauai - New Group Joining State LeagueOn January 21 fifteen interested women met in Lihue with Marie Gilson, Organization chairman, to discuss League. The group has since organized, electing Mrs. Richard McCleery of Anahola as temporary chairman, and setting up committees. At a March 25 meeting
they expected to elect their permanent officers, to adopt by-laws and budget, and to arrange for a "Know Your County" study (especially pertinent now because of the new County Charter which became effective in January). They hope to meet criteria for provisional League status by April. State Board has invited two of their members to be observers at Convention.
