Voters Brochure "Snapped Up"

The League has received many compliments on its pamphlet, "Your Vote Makes a Difference." About 7,500 of this Pro-Con publication covering the 23 amendments to the constitution were distributed on all the islands. Honolulu librarians reported that they were "snapped up" the first day and that many more copies could have been used.

The Pro-Con pamphlet was compiled by Alice Beechert (Mrs. Edward) from Legislative Reference Bureau material written for the Con-Con delegates.

It was edited by members of the state Board, assisted by League husbands, Dr. Allan Saunders and Dr. Norman Meller and Mr. Edward Joesting (to all of whom our mahalo).

Special thanks should go to Honolulu Leaguers who helped assemble it on a Sunday.
