Hawaii's Fair Housing Act From the President's Desk (Marguerite Simson) League News LWV of Hawaii Was Present Local League Briefs Report on the Con-Con (Alice Scott) Recommended Reading for Campaign Practices Officers - League of Women Voters of Hawaii - Board Members |
From the President's DeskDear Member, By the time you read this local League Election-year activity will be well underway. Hopefully you will also be actively at work on behalf of your political party or your favorite candidates. The women you meet who share your political interests, as well as the women who look to the League for election information, are potential League members. You should make it your business to encourage their interest in the League's approach to government. Partisan political activity drops off after November 5, but the League's programs go on. You have an opportunity to do a real service to these women by showing them what the League has to offer them, at the same time you serve the League by bringing valuable new members.
