Criteria for Judging State Program Suggestions In considering an idea as a possible state --program item judge it by these criteria: Does it come within the Principles of the League of Women Voters? Is it a problem which can be met by state government? Is the League interest in the problem state-wide? Does it affect all parts of the state? Will it give League members valuable experience in citizen action? Is there any hope of success? Is it timely? Will the League merely duplicate the work of others, or can it make a real contribution? In the light of other League commitments—local, national, Voter Service--does the League in Hawaii have sufficient funds, womanpower, and experience to carry out this program?
