Healthcare BillThere is controversy and misunderstanding related to the healthcare bill passed on March 21. As it is now, more than 23 million persons will remain underinsured. Meanwhile, the public and other safety net hospitals that the uninsured people rely on will have to endure a $36 billion cut in federal funding. When you speak to your congress person, please consider encouraging them to be involved in legislation that would amend this bill to include the public option. Joy Marshall |
