Design a Non-Event Fundraiser! As you undoubtedly know if you are reading this, the League is usually in need of funds. Thus we regularly plan to undertake a fundraiser or two each year. Our non-event fundraisers have proved particularly popular and successful -- not only in raising funds, but according to reports, people seem to genuinely enjoy them. We are close to the end of our ideas about non-events to stage, though, and we would like to invite reader suggestions. We have now sponsored a golf tournament, a swim suit contest, a Lunar New Year Party, a Christmas in September Party, a Halloween Party, and, most recently a Cotillion -- all, of course, as non-events. We are now considering a carnival as our next spectacular.  Have any readers other suggestions that might be added to our list? We invite your participation and will be grateful for your advice. (President Jackie Parnell suggests we offer a non-prize or two for the most exciting submissions.)
