Hawaii Coalition Against Legalized Gambling (HCALG)HCALG is preparing a letter to our congressmen suggesting they add a "technical change" to the Akaka Bill that will reinforce and strengthen the "no gambling" article, as recommended by the Assistant U.S. Attorney General. The current wording doesn't really guarantee there will be no gambling. HCALG has joined the "Give Aloha" program which will add money to any contributions given to HCALG at any Foodland or Sack and Save during the month of September. Additional contributions are much needed and will be greatly appreciated. All League members will be receiving an email at the end of August to remind and encourage them to participate. Currently the HCALG is remodeling its WEB page. Grace Furukawa |
