HCALG Update

The Hawaii Coalition Against Legalized Gambling is gearing up for the 2005 Legislature because we've heard rumblings that the casino and lottery folks are coming back to try once again. To start getting our message across, the Coalition held a luncheon at the Capitol on Monday November 15, to meet informally with legislators, especially the newcomers. We also introduced them to our visitors from Nebraska who successfully defeated casinos there despite of heavy pressure from the gaming industry.

We spent our "quiet fall months" securing a new office. Our new address is

2345 Nuuanu Ave
Honolulu, HI 96817
phone: (808) 595-7766
