Fundraiser Alert - LWV HawaiiThe State League will soon be mailing its famous INVITATION TO A NON-EVENT to all League members. Many of our members do not realize that the sole source of State League's funds is a percentage of local League dues. This is the ONLY means of support of the Hawaii League of Women Voters. It is never enough to cover the costs of State's portion of the rent, business machines in the office, phones, as well as the things necessary to continue our lobbying at the Legislature on the issues we support on behalf of good government, or the extra funds necessary for any new studies. PLEASE BE AS GENEROUS AS YOU CAN IN YOUR DONATION. WE ARE CURRENTLY OPERATING AT A DEFICIT. Jackie Parnell |
