Upcoming Candidate ForumsKona: Sponsored by LWV, Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, Kona Outdoor Circle. September 6, Wednesday, 5:45- 7:45 p.m. at Kealakehe High School: U.S. House of Representatives (Hanalei Aipoalani, Colleen Hanabusa, Clayton Hee, Mazie Hirono, Bob Hogue, Gary Hooser, Quentin Kuhio Kawananakoa, Matt Masunaga, Ron Menor, Brian Schatz, Joe Zuiker) The students at Kealakehe High School will sell chili, rice, and drinks prior to the forum, from 4:45 p.m. until 5:45 p.m., as a fundraiser. Attendees are urged to come early, talk story, and support the Kealakehe High School students. Puna: September 10, Sunday, County Council contested races: Districts 5 and 6.
