West Hawaii Activities The Kona unit counted ballots for the Hawaiian Ranchos and Hawaiian Ocean View Road Maintenance Associations last Fall. West Hawaii members also participated in November in the GEMS (Girls Exploring Math and Science) one-day program, sponsored by the American Association of University Women, Kona Branch. It was a treat to see the excitement on the faces of so many fifth grade girls. What a great idea to introduce professional female role models to students who may never have dreamed that they could have a future in math, science, or technology!
