Leagues have newsletters. It's a fact of life. The League of Women Voters of Honolulu began in 1949... its newsletter in 1950, published about 10 times a year. The League of Women Voters of Hawaiʻi, State League, began in 1965... along with its newsletter, published more or less quarterly.

Today I look at the statistics and see... over 7,500 articles online! Wow!

On December 17, 2007, after about a year and a half of work, Vol. 1, Number 1 of the State Newsltter was put online, making the complete collection of LWV Hawaiʻi State newsletters, from 1965 to the present, available in searchable form. 1,570 articles from 142 issues, From Hawaiʻi Voter Volume 1 Number 1, April, 1965, to the latest Ka Leo Hana...

On August 18, 2008, the last of our copies of LWV-Honolulu issues was posted online, Vol. I No 1 of the Bulletin of the Provisional League of Women Voters of Honolulu, and by the end of October all the missing issues recoverable from Hamilton Library had been added -- from July 1950 to the present, over 5,900 articles from 575 issues... a combined total of over 5,000 pages of State and Honolulu League news going back over 50 years. Lists of League officers as reported in the newsletters were compiled simultaneously, and can be accessed here.
