Women and Heart Health Public Education SymposiumThe Hawaii Chapter of the American Heart Association will be presenting an educational symposium on Women and Heart Health, Saturday September 13, 1997 at the Hale Pulama Mau Auditorium. Special guest speaker will be Jacques E. Rossouw, M.D., lead project officer of the Women's Health Initiative, National Institutes of Health. The topics for the day will include Cardiac Risk Factors in Women, Women and Stroke, Hormone Replacement Therapy, Hypertension, Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Diabetes. Additional speakers present will be Cherylee Chang, M.D., Ruth Heidrich, Ph.D, Joana Magno, M.D., Helen Petrovitch, M.D., & Terry Shintani, M.D. All who have contributed to our communities health awareness The event is FREE, however, remember to register early as seating is limited.
