Position Paper on Con Con '98

League's position paper on Con Con `98 will be mailed to all members with the Leo Hana in October.

Arrangements have been made to place copies in public libraries statewide for distribution to the public. We are in the process of getting permission from the managements of several shopping malls to distribute them to registered voters preferably on Saturday, October 19, and where necessary, on Friday, October 18.

Several hundred copies will be mailed to those we interviewed for our study, heads of organizations, legislators and council members, other government officials, chairs of the Neighborhood Boards, and individuals who have requested copies. There is still time for you to submit names of individuals or organizations who might benefit from receiving a copy.

We have arranged to distribute copies to the presidents of Senior Citizen Clubs organized under the auspices of the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation.

We need volunteers to staff the shopping malls from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19. We will be working in pairs and need 10 volunteers. If you are willing to help, please call the office (531-7448) or Jean Aoki (949-7457) in the evening.
