Recommendations for State Convention Agenda

  1. We recommend that a Voters Guide be a priority item. We would like to form a committee right away and Honolulu members will be happy to serve on a committee or to chair the committee if the state prefers.

  2. Another priority item for us is Campaign Finance Reform and Ethics. We would like a committee formed, with regular meetings. There is much going on this year in this area and we would like to make sure that our positions are represented.

  3. We recommend a state Human Resources Committee be established. This committee is currently very active in Honolulu, but would welcome state support.

  4. Rather than a membership booklet printed by and for just the Honolulu League, we would recommend that a Statewide Membership Booklet be created.

  5. Honolulu League recommends support for legislation to enable development of Charter Schools in Hawaii.
