New Member Orientation Video75 Years of a Great Idea, produced by the League of Women Voters of the United States, was developed as a resource tool for League leaders to facilitate new and prospective member orientation sessions. The video is informative-presenting as overview of the League from our beginnings in 1920 to today's healthcare reform action campaign. It features League members in a lively discussion. Scattered throughout the video are humorous and politically-aware Sylvia cartoons highlighting League issues, by nationally syndicated cartoonist, author and creator of Sylvia, Nicole Hollander. A copy of this tape is available in the League library for viewing or for use with other groups.
