Planning & Zoning: Convention Center
CASE TO BE REHEARD
The State Supreme Court hearing scheduled Sept 22 on League's appeal of the lower court's dismissal of our suit against the City Council's 1990 approval of the Plan Review Use application for the Convention Center complex on the Aloha Motors site was continued to a later date probably in November - at the request of attorney Fred Benco. The purpose of his action was to provide an opportunity to re-open the case in terms of the new P.R.U. approval given by the City Council in August for a "major modification" of the Plan it approved in 1990.
The case will be heard in circuit court on Thursday, October 28 at 10am before Judge Watanabe, who was not the judge who originally dismissed the case, without reasons. League members are invited to attend.
