City's New Planning Director to Speak to League P&Z Committee, May 24, 1993Robin Foster, newly appointed Chief of the City's Planning Department, will speak at Leagues' Committee on Planning & Zoning at our regular meeting Monday, May 24, at noon. Foster is an experienced professional city planner. League first worked with him some years ago when he was developing inclusionary zoning provisions--the first attempt to require developers seeking planning amendments or zoning changes to agree to provide a percentage of low- and moderate-income units in their projects. Most recently he has been working with Lacayo Planning, Inc. a consulting firm. We are hoping that he will discuss major pending planning issues with us, and how he thinks the new Charter provision on planning an zoning will be implemented.
