Voter ServiceIn observance of the Honolulu Council on the Status of Women's declaration of March as "The Month of the Woman" the LWV of Honolulu presents "Women in Government". It will be shown on Channel 22 on March 9 & 23 at 8:30pm. Topics will include: how women have specifically contributed and shaped our governmental processes and laws, barriers to getting more women elected, lack of women being appointed to high ranking government posts, and what women can do individually and collectively to improve women's representation in government. Our guest panelists will be: Congresswoman Patsy T. Mink, Representative Cynthia Thielen and Councilmember Rene Mansho. The moderator will be Dorothy Bremner. Jacqueline Vogt |
