Education Forum WHAT KIND OF SCHOOL BOARD DO YOU WANT? WHAT KIND OF SCHOOLS WOULD SERVE OUR CHILDREN? Come to this Education Forum on how to understand the ballot changes in voting for Board of Education and governance provisions. THIS IS IMPORTANT for the future of our schools. Where? Unitarian Church, 2500 Pali Highway When? Tuesday, Sept. 15, 7:30 PM There will be two education questions on the Primary ballot: 1 - Should the governor appoint the Superintendent, and should the powers of the Board of Education be strictly limited? 2 - Should the governor appoint both the Board of Education and the Superintendent, and should the powers of the Board be strictly limited? The Forum will discuss what changes the two ballot questions would bring, and further, what CHALLENGES lie ahead for education? We are not making progress in revitalizing our schools -- We need fresh, new thinking about how to make schools productive and attractive to students.
