Dear Friend of the Public Reporter: We are making plans to publish our 3rd annual report on the bills passed by the Legislature and on campaign contributions received by incumbents. We have for two years distributed FREE over 100,000 copies of this report to Oahu households with at least one voter. This distribution plan is dependent on our financial resources. I am writing to ask for your help in defraying the costs of our next issue, which I am hoping we can publish in early September. Whatever you can donate will help. Instead of doing a fundraiser I thought a direct mail solicitation would be just as successful. Please use the enclosed self-addressed envelope to send in your contribution as soon as possible. We will be collating the report at the end of August at the UPW Hall. If you can help this year please sign up below and we will call you with the details. My thanks in advance for your help. Because this effort is an all volunteer project, please accept my apologies for not writing you to say thank you for your early response. But please know that we deeply appreciate your support. MAHALO,
------------------------------------------------------------------ I WILL BE ABLE TO HELP COLLATE THE PUBLIC REPORTER IN THE LAST WEEK OF AUGUST AND FIRST FEW DAYS IN SEPTEMBER, 1991 at the UPW office... |
