Vote Counts Continue League Testifies at City Council Viewpoint 1991 Development Plans -- More Golf Courses...? (Astrid Monson) Beadie Dawson to be Honored by YWCA Council Observor |
Vote Counts ContinueTo date, April 8, Leaguers and friends of League have given 420 hours and 30 minutes to our vote count effort. We have successfully completed the Hawaiian Tel election and have 3 more to go. A steady stream of volunteers is needed to process the anticipated 100,000 ballots on the 7th floor of City Hall for the next 2 weeks to avoid the killing pace experienced by a few 2 years ago. Overlapping the Neighborhood Board election are the Local's and HGEA elections, both enormous and important. HGEA is a large new account that we want to service well. Beginning on April 17 to May 10 we need a mob in the office to sort and certify envelopes. Any time you can give is welcome, be it 1 hour or 8. Please call the office and volunteer. April 30 and May 11 are especially important dates. We will be tallying Local 5 at the Waikiki Community Center at 310 Paoakalani St. from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on April 30 and HGEA at 888 Mililani St., 1st floor from 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 11.
