League of Women Voters Presents

Katherine Loew, Producer of "The League of Women Voters Presents," reports that 14 of the 21 candidates running for the five Oahu seats on the Board of Education in the primary election appeared on the Channel 20 show in August and September. There are eight candidates running in the general election for the four Oahu contested seats. These candidates (four each time) will present their views on Channel 20 every Monday at 7:00 pm and every Thursday at 6:00 pm until the general election. Candidates are Dorothy Babineau, David Fasi, Karen Knudsen and Betty Lou Miura. Incumbents running for reelection are Mako Araki, Debi Hartman, Hatsuko Kawahara and Chuck Norwood. Karen Ahn will moderate the programs.
