Teamsters Vote Count to Get Underway in SeptemberLeague will be conducting the controversial Teamsters election under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Labor. The vote count will be conducted in 2 stages: Mail-out of ballots on September 26 to 28 and tallying of ballots on October 20, 1990. On Wednesday, September 26 we will meet in Rm 4113 on the 4th floor of the Federal Building. We will need at least 12 Leaguers to stamp over 6,000 ballots. The work will begin at 9 am and continue until we finish-which we hope will be in mid-afternoon. The mail-out on Thursday September 27 at 9 am will consist of stuffing envelopes, attaching labels and sorting by zip codes for mailing. We will be working in Rm 5309 on the 5th floor of the Federal Building. We will need at least 30 workers. If the work is not completed on Thursday, we will continue on Friday, September 28. Call the office and volunteer today!
