City's Master Plan for WaikikiChaired by Chief Planning Officer Ben Lee, the City has been working with a group of planners and architects to formulate a conceptual master plan for Waikiki. Lee has Invited the League to view this plan on Thursday, August 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mayor's Conference room, 3rd floor of City Hall. The League has led the effort to bring about citizen concern In long range planning in Waikiki and has demonstrated several times to get the attention of our government officials to amend Act 96 to allow for this. There are several professional groups working on master planning. Several months ago the League had the opportunity to view the plans prepared by the Queen Emma Foundation. We urge all Leaguers to attend this meeting on Thursday prepared to comment, compare, criticize or applaud.
