Hawaii Water PlanThe importance of good water management cannot be over-emphasized. Leaguers are urged to be informed and join the Water Committee currently chaired by Martha Black. On file in the League office are two documents in our borrowing library available to all Leaguers who are interested in Oahu's water management plan. They are: (1) Hawaii Water Plan, An Introduction by the Commission on Water Resource Management, Dept. of Land and Natural Resources, March 1990, and (2) Oahu Water.. Management Plan, a technical reference document prepared for the Dept. of General Planning, City & County, of Honolulu by Wilson Okamoto & Associates, Inc., March 1990. Also included are an "Executive Summary" of the Oahu Water Management Plan, a Process Elements chart and a list of requirements for a good plan.
