City Council Special Election

There will be a special election held on September 17, in conjunction with the Primary, to fill the Council seats vacated by members of the council Marilyn Bornhorst, Randall Iwase and Dennis O'Connor, who are running for other governmental positions.
Be prepared to check up on the people running for the Council if there is to be a change in your area. The Council met on July 20, 1988 to set the deadline for filing nomination papers for the vacated seats.
Try to attend a council meeting or listen on Cable 20 to a meeting, then come back in January and see what you think about the new council which will run until 1990.
You can always call the League office and give us your opinion. We would enjoy having you do that.
